Why this project?

My motivation

Most of my life I have struggled with my sense of self-worth. I have always been a quiet person, rather introverted, and I hated it. I have come a long way since then, learning to accept and appreciate these characteristics I once desperately wished to get rid of. Accepting them helped me to overcome them in a way, making me more confident than I had ever been before. In sharing my experience I am hoping to speak to people who feel the same way as I did. Perspective is key: instead of changing the way you are, try changing the way you view yourself.

Alessa Fanzoi

STORY, ANIMATION, ILLUSTRATION, SOUND DESIGN

I am an audiovisual storyteller based in Zurich, Switzerland. I am currently studying Design with a focus on Audiovisual Media at Zurich University of the Arts. However, as „Rat’s Nest“ is my Bachelor project, my time as a student will come to an end in June 2020.

My passion lies in motion design and illustration, which is the reason why I chose to realize my first animated short film as my Bachelor project.
